Initial Consultation
Elly Sofocli begins with an Initial 30 minute Virtual Consultation, for you to gain a clear understanding of the design and construction process over a duration of 12 months.
This step is crucial for understanding your unique needs, timeline, and to establish a design direction. The foundation of each creation is rooted in your personal style and aspirations, along with Elly’s artistic interpretation.
Second Connection
Upon establishing a clear concept from our initial engagement, Elly and her team will work through the design phase.
In this Second Connection, you’ll be measured, And witness your bridal vision come to life as Elly presents sketches, fabric swatches, and design considerations, all derived from insights shared between consultations. For interstate and international brides, design and development can be conducted virtually.
The Fitting phase is where your gown takes shape, with timelines and fittings tailored to the design intricacy and the garment's complexity.
Using our modernised interpretation of the esteemed traditions of bridal couture, our talented studio, boasting master pattern-makers handcrafts each custom gown. During the fitting process, clients will experience a series of fit appointments from toile, to main fittings. Construction timelines are formed depending on the complexity, and requirements of each individual design along with styling suggestions cultivated by Elly.
As we approach the final stages, we're committed to ensuring that every element of the design resonates with your vision. timelines and fittings vary depending on the gown design and complexity of the garment.

For Local Brides: Consultations are encouraged to be in person, along with measurements. At least two physical fittings at the Melbourne studio are required.
Designing a wedding dress for an international bride involves thoughtful planning, communication, and collaboration between client and head designer Elly.
